Seeing Red at Crafts and Me

This week at Crafts and Me we would like you to use red in any shade you like and there will be the chance to win a surprise set of Christmas goodies from Crafts and Me.

For my card I have used one of the new images that will be available in the Crafts and Me store very soon :D

I have coloured her with the following Spectrum noir pens:

Skin: TN2, EB1

Dress: DR7, DR6,DR5,DR2 - JG6, JG3,CG4

Wings: DR7, DR6,DR5,DR2 - GB9,GB7, GB4

Hair: IG10, IG7,IG4

 

For the back ground I thought I would have a play and make my own with some of the yummy new Distress inks. I have used Scattered straw then Festive berries and then Gathered tigs and put them on with my Deamweaver brushes. To finish it off I used some artistic flourish stamps from inkadinkado and stamped them in smokey grey versa randomly over the top. The beautiful velvet ribbon is from Crafts and Me and the gold card and red gems are from my stash.

Crafts and Me in the pink

Birthdays at Crafts and Me

It is my turn to play host for this weeks challenge at Crafts and Me. I have gone with a birthday theme as I seem to know a lot of people who have birthdays next month so could do with getting some made up :D

The prize this week is 3 digital stamps from our very own Crafts and Me.

 

The DT has some wonderful inspiration for you again this week and we have some gorgeous new stamps to show you that will be released in the shop very soon including this beauty "Roseilee" by Sara Burrier coming soon here.

I have coloured her with a mix of promarkers and Spectrum noir pens then added some touches of white with a sakura white souffle pen. For my back ground I had a lot of fun playing with something new to me. I got some PanPastels!!! I have got a whole load of them available now in my shop if you want to give them a try yourself and will put another post on here later with more about them and another card I have made using them.

Go Team GB! I am so proud of how well GB have done in the Olympics (Sorry to all of you non sports fans) So I just couldn't resist doing a bit of a red, white and blue theme for my card today.

Going digital at Crafts and Me

It has been way, way too long since I played with the beautiful digi stamps that are in stock at Crafts and Me so I thought I would change that and join in with the new challenge this week that is to use a digi  :D

This beautiful lady is called Kissy fish. She has been coloured with the following Spectrum noirs:

Skin: TN2, EB1, FS6

Hair: BP6, BP3, BP2

Clothes: TB6, BT7, IB3, TB1

Flowers: BT6, GT3, GB1

Fish: JG7, CG4

I have then also added some Diamond stickles for a bit of sparkle. The tape down the side is from 2 of the new Marianne D sets ( Flowers and Music) and just to finish I have added 3 little pearls with some Royal blue liquid pearls. The paper is from Dovecraft's Garden Party set.The whole card is a 5 x 7 card blank.

Hollyhock princess

Gorgeous new rubbah at Crafts and Me

I have one of the brand new beautiful Janna Prosvirina stamps to show you today. She is called Dragonfly and I think she is gorgeous! For my card I thought I would try and keep it simple to show her off. I have inked all round the edges of the card in 3 different colours (Pool party, Lucky limeade and then soft suede) Next I stamped the Inkadinkado butterflies out randomly over my inking in soft suede to almost make my own DP.
The stunning image I coloured with the following pro and flex markers....

Dress: Indigo blue, True blue, Surf blue

For my card I have used Cordelia and glossy blue flat backed oval pearls  from the Crafts and me store. And I have coloured Cordelia with the following pro markers....

The background I have done some embossing again using a bubble embossing folder from Darice which I have then inked to make it stand out more. The die I used is from Marianne D and is called Branch garden.

I think I am hooked on embossing

The weather is a bit dull here today but no rain yet so it's not all bad :D I have been kinda hooked on embossoing since the last Crafts and Me challenge that was to use embossing. For this card I used core dinations papers and tore the green to make it kind of like grass and embossed a tree on to the brown bit with a Darice embossing folder then sanded the embossed bit slightly to show that core colour. 

The beautiful stamp I have used is Crafts and Me's Pink Lightning  and I have coloured her in the following pro and flex markers.....

Skin: Saffron, Vanilla, Ivory
Hair: Mandarin, Pumpkin, Gold, Tulip yellow

For my card I have used the stunning Genevieve. I have coloured her with promarkers then inked all round the edge of the picture quite roughly before covering it in gold embossing powder. I have not tried that effect before and I quite like it. I have then also used some dry embossed gold card across the card and stamped the heart boarders at the top and the bottom with a Marianne D stamp from the bear sentiments stamp set (SF1113).

Pro and flex markers I used are:

For my card I have used Hug me by our new artist Dollie James. I still LOVE that hair :D I have coloured her with promarkers and then mounted her on foam pads so she stands out. The papers are from Authentique and I have used a black pen to outline them to make them stand out a bit more. The 3-D element I went for are the little pearly hearts in the top right that I got ages ago from ebay.
