Building a bloom :D

******Do you fancy a crafty get away? I am arranging one for October this year and there are still spaces. Click HERE for details******

This first card is so not the normal me. I love flowers but hardly ever seem to use them so this card being just a giant flower I am so proud of myself lol :D I have used a brilliant Stampin' Up stamp set for this one it is called build a bloom and I have also used the matching punch I feel a little lazy for not cutting them out but it is so quick and means they are all the same size. The inks I have used are real red, Old olive and Daffodil delight. I have tried to give the flower more of a 3D feel by shaping the petals and the leaves. I have used the inks to colour the papers I used for my matting and layering so it matches perfectly. The strip along the middle is some black card that I used the Stampin' Up scalloped trim border to shape a bit then put some pearls from my stash on it. I also embossed the white card using my hougie board to give a bit of texture.

I am entering this card for the following challenge:
Scrap creations - Flowers

For my second card today I have gone for a more almost steam punk feel. I have used stamps from the Stampin' Up Aviary set and I have started by stamping the cages all over the background in Sahara Sand ink. Then I have stamped my little bird calypso coral ink and stamped over it with another bird cage this time in chocolate chip ink so it stands out more and then I cut it out and put it on foam pads so it stands out from the rest of the card. I finished it off with a Kraftin' Kimmie sentiment and by inking the edges in chocolate chip and calypso coral.

I am entering this card for the following challenge:
Divas by design - Distressing

If you would like to get any Stampin’ Up products I can order them for you and you only have to pay £1 for postage rather than the normal £4.95. If you want to have a look at the current Stampin' Up catalogues you can see them all HERE
