I wanna be just like Margie!

I do wanna be just like margie and the card of hers is stunning I loved casing it for the Club Anya contest. The papers and cakes I used are a digital set I feel really lucky to have brought from the greetings farm. I added tiny gems to the cakes to make them even more sparkly and the digi Alice is coloured with promarkers and then decoupaged to be more 3d.

Cup cake craft - challenge # 45

This week at cupcake craft is a brilliant sketch. This was a lot of fun I thought I would try and use a digi set I got a while back from the greetings farm. The set is called wonderland and the big flower and all the papers are part of it. The image is from a greetings farm stamp set that has the same name. I have coloured my little Alice with promarkers and Sakura star dust pens for a bit of sparkle. The ribbon flower and buttons are from my stash.

Stamp with fun and daring card maker

Daring card maker want you to make a miss you card while over at stamp with fun there is a brilliant sketch to follow so I thought I could combine the 2. The cute image is another from Polly Crafts Cherry kisses range and has again been coloured with promarkers. The papers are all from K &Co sparkly sweet The flowers are from papermania and the sentiment and butterfly are ones I got free with magazines some time ago.

Crafty Muse and Polly craft

For this card I have used the layout from crafty muse. I love it this is my first time taking part with crafty muse but it will not be my last. The image is from Polly crafts Cherry kisses set and I have coloured her with pro markers and added some tiny gems to her wreath as they wanted to see gems on your card. I have also added some more gems down the sides which are not on the crafty muse layout but I could not resist :) The papers are all from papermania the Christmas multi stack. The sentiment is from paper cellar.

Fresh Farm Friday and Then next level

Fresh Farm Friday is a new weekly challenge from The Greetings farm they wanted to see you go dotty for spots and over at the next level they wanted to see a step or pop up card so I thought I would work out my own sort of pop up card.
To make this one I cut 2 pieces of paper 9" x 5" and another one 6"x 2".
I scored the both 9x5 pieces 2" from each end giving me a 5"x5" square in the middle of each. Then on one of them I cut a window out of the 5" square section to be the front window to look through (This could be any shape or size you want).
For the 6"x2" I scored 1/2" from each end (this is going to be the centre section)
At this stage I decorated all my section before I put it together. The image I stuck to my newly created window and I stuck the dotty backing paper to the 5"x5" section of the other strip.
The little scene I doodled and coloured then stuck to the 6"x2" section.
Then you can put it all togeter.
The 6"x2" I put tape on the 1/2" sections I have scored and folded them away from my scene. The 9"x5" bcak section you need to fold the flaps towards the backing paper then fix the scene to the sides inside. Finally you can fold the front window piece with the flap folded away from the image and stick the sides the outside of the whole card.

I hope this makes sense. I forgot to take pics while making it sorry.

The image I hve used is cowgirl Anya and I have paper pieced her and coloured her with promarkers before decoupaging her to look more 3d. The scene as I said is a doodle I did and coloured with promarkers. The all the papers are from Designers extreme vol II

Lili of the valley paper piecing

Lili of the Valley's challenge is paper piecing and I thought I would try to do my paper piecing slightly differently this time round. I am really into digi crafts at the moment so though I would try a bit of digi paper piecing the papers and the image is digi I have put the image onto the digi papers then cut out the bits I wanted in photo shop and put them together as you would normal paper piecing and I think it has turned out well.
The cute image is the first ever digi stamp from Poppy Petal Designs there are now 3 in the set so far and I will be doing more cards with these amazing stamp over the next few days. All the papers are from Designers extreme vol II including the ones I used for the paper piecing. The peel off sentiment say "best wishes sorry you can't really see it in the pic it looks much better in real life.

This is the first time I have entered Flutter By and there challenge this week is fairy out side. Passion for promarkers wants you to use lemon and meadow green as the main colours. I have used dustin pikes image for the background to make it seem like my flutter Anya is outside :) I have coloured both images with promarkers and to emphasise the lemon and pale green colours I have kept the rest of the card simple and in those 2 colours.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - Create a scene

Well I just could not resist this set from Dustin Pike when I saw it and it makes the most brilliant scenes so is perfect for Dare you 2 digi's challenge this week. I have coloured the images with promarkers and then I added pearls to the clams in the back ground and put the whale on some acetate so he looks like he is swimming free. The sentiments I made using ticker tape and then I drew a black border round the back ground and mounted it on the printed card blank. The gems were just to give it that little extra sparkle :)

A B C - Summer

The summer always makes me think of being out side and fields so when my friend asked me if I could do a card for a farmer friend of hers I though it would go perfectly for ABC's summer theme. She wanted a tractor some farm animals and his dog (Scarlett) in it so I have tried to draw his dog as best I could from a tiny picture. I am quite happy with how it turned out I found it quit a challenge to get all she wanted in it.

Rock n' Roll 60's

It is Friday which means it is time for a new challenge at Stampin' for the weekend ! This week you have to make a card inspired by the title of one of the following 3 songs
  1. Mr Postman
  2. Whiter shade of pale
  3. Time of the season
There is an amazing prize this week from Simon Say's Stamp a $25 gift voucher.

Please have a look at the rest of the incredibly talented DT's blogs and the brilliant Sandie is again our guest designer.

Mr Postman

Paper is from crafters companion Christmas cute companions disc. The Tilda I have coloured with promarkers and then given her a letter to go in her hand. It is hard to tell from this pic but the background is from my craft studios world of water colour disc and is decoupaged.

Whiter shade of pale
This card was very quick to make the stamp is from the greetings farm and I have thought I should give my promarkers a rest so coloured it with water colour pencils. The sentiment is from DCWV and the one paper I used is from papermania. I kept it simple as I feel that sympathy cards should be.

Time of the season
For this one the robin is from The greetings farm "Vintage birds" set and I have coloured him with a mix of sakura stardust pens and pro markers. The sentiment came free with a magazine last Christmas and the papers are from Paper cellar.

Polly craft and one stop

Over at one stop the challenge this week is to add some sparkle to your card well I have added a star gem to this super cute Cherry kisses fairy from Polly craft. Polly craft this week had a recipe of 3 embellishments, 2 papers and 1 image. For my embellishments I have used a star gem peel off gold borders and there are brads on the sentiment. The papers are from polly craft cherry kisses and Designers extreme vol I. My image has been coloured with a mix of pro markers and sakura pens to add a bit more of that sparkle that one stop wanted :) I have attached her to the card with acetate so she moves around as if she is flying over the card.

Passion for promarkers and stamp with fun

This card fits with Stamp with fun's challenge to use dots and with passion for pro markers colour combo of berry red and royal blue. I have coloured this gorjuss girl with promarkers and then put he on foam pads so she stands out. The sentiment is from DCWV and the papers are from Designers extreme vol II. The sequins are from my stash I think I got them from partners stationers but can't be sure.

For this card my quote is from DCVW - love clear stickers and it says " I love you not only for what you are but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for that part of me that you bring out."
Sorry for the rubbish picture it looks a lot better in real life. The image is from the gretings farm set "cake topper" and has been coloured with promarkers and sakura stardust pens.
